AGES

Golden Age 04:41
GOLDEN AGE

 Remember…

 Cronos reigned alone —
And with a single Thought,
Out of sand and stone,
 Chaos to Cosmos brought.

 Remember…

In the likeness of a god
Had Men been made to live on Earth,
Yet did not forget to laud
The One Divine who gave them birth.

 Remember…

 Fruits and corn aplenty,
 Work-free fertile fields,
No need for coin or penny,
 Nor deaths on battlefields —

Remember…

 Children in the garden lush,
Dancing round the Tree of Life,
On their milk-white cheeks a blush,
 Endless spring with Presence rife.

Remember…

2.
Silver Age 05:02
SILVER AGE How can a world of giants
 Feel so small and petty?
Where are My dear suppliants?
They don’t look so pretty!

 The Sons of Zeus
 Have been set loose…

More and more do they wish for —
 Excess in all except humility…
Less and less do they pray for —
What good is there in this humanity?

 The Sons of Zeus
 Have been set loose…

 Oh, ungrateful Man!
 Have you forgotten Me?
 Away from Me you ran
And wiped out you shall be!

3.
Bronze Age 05:20
BRONZE AGE

The days of Ares came —
 Barbarians, blood and battles,
The age of kings and castles —
When men killed men for fame…

 Sowing death and war
 Like seeds on battlefields
With swords and spears and shields,
And wrecked ships on the shore…

 Their doom was drawing near
 As in the darkest dungeons
Some prepared their bludgeons
To face their deepest fear —
4.
Iron Age 05:02
IRON AGE

Hollow helmets, broken breasts,
Rusty swords and shattered shields,
Nothing left but empty chests —
 Rotting words the poet wields.

« Turning and turning in the widening gyre,
The falcon cannot hear the falconer. »

In the west the sun shall rise,
Soon the clown will wear a crown
And the fool some now call wise —
Down is up and up is down.

« Turning and turning in the widening gyre,
The falcon cannot hear the falconer. »

 Ever closer to the edge,
Iron men believe they’re gods —
Yet do they not see the ledge
 Toward which the devil prods?

5.
DREAM AGE

The army of the dead has been defeated,
A thousand bodies lie on blood-soaked crops —
From them it seems like life has long retreated —
The harvest yields on each and every corpse

 The fruit of war.

Yet in the darkness hope is growing fast:
Behind the helmet’s visor shines a light —
 A skinless skull with empty sockets vast;
Within, a bright blue butterfly — ignite,

 Ye mighty moth!

Imagination is the realm of kings — Only they who wield the Sword of Truth
May pierce the veil that sorrow brings
To those whose hearts have turned to stone — forsooth,
They live no more…

Behold the moonlit grave as crows alight:
Inside the silent tomb a secret gleams —
Since mortal men have made their world of night,
All that is now left is but their dreams —

 How warm their cloth!

As above, so below.

Round and round do the stars and planets dance in the sky, round and round do the seasons and civilizations dance upon the face of the Earth.

For in cycles does the cosmic wheel turn. The last will be first and the first will be last. And men like the moon will wax and wane by divine decree, as "He has created a thousand-thousand worlds and a thousand-thousand Adams".

Four main stages - or ages - from gold to silver, from silver to bronze and from bronze to iron, for mankind to live and die.

The first men lived as immortal gods, yet hubris led them to rebel and go down the spiral of life and death. Now imprisoned in the material realm, they slowly forgot their divine origin and became blind to the invisible world, violent and immoral, believing they were but flesh and bones and nothing else. As they got closer to the bottom of all possibilities, everything was upside down, time started going faster and faster and space seemed to be contracting more and more. They were petrified. Yet this process of solidification couldn't go on forever and was eventually bound to lead to complete pulverization and dissolution, so that a new cycle could begin.

The beginning is the end and the end is the beginning.

As above, so below.
